In 1953 Nation Hurricane center (US) started naming tropical cyclones in a series of female names. Officially this practice came to end in 1978, and formed a list of alternate male and female names. Then cyclones are named after men also (Hurrayyyy).

If you read history, Women cyclones did their part (Destruction). Men (Cyclones) as always visit people and went empty handed. Typhoon NINA 1975 hit china and destroyed a dam (Banqiao Dam), caused 100000+ deaths and rated as second deadliest cyclone ever in history.We cannot forget Katrina (ohhhhhh one word that turns me on!!!) 2005 (USA) though she did not caused major damage , she is tenth deadliest hurricane in history causing 1900+ death and 705 missing and 80 billion $ loss..
